NYR need to establish a box office pair with Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko. When you think NYR you're gonna think them. They are NYR for life.

As much as I’d rather not think about, because who knows what Bergevin might try, but would a Kotkaniemi package deal entice NYR? Thinking of a KK + Kakko duo is actually pretty terrifying. Habs would still probably have to add someone like Caufield, which would border on a completely ridiculous offer. And I have no interest doing that deal personally.

I guess my question to a Rangers fan is, realistically not just personal preference, what would you think would make NYR budge on moving 1st overall?

Me personally, I wouldn't trade Kaapo Kakko or Alexis Lafreniere for anyone or anything period.
