Description
I am also very disappointed that the NYR won the lottery, especially since they also won it last year. We lost our home town boy to a team that will most likely not consider trading him.
But it's not the end of the world.
I'm already tired of seeing those KK + Suzuki + Romanov + 50years of 1st round picks for Laffy, and they started only 2 hours ago. Cmon, our futur looks good.
Instead of trading all our 1st rounders, lets use them wisely (with os that can't be matched)!
We can still have a great offseason, even if we don't draft 1st ovr.

Im not crying, you are!😭

But in all seriousness, I agree about this team, were headed toward the right direction. Adding an elite winger would still be a priority tho. I would trybto package Domi in order to acquire a top 10 pick (maybe WPG) and grab a guy like Raymond whod fit nicely witj our group of players

Who would be your pick if we were to add a

Player but you can also talk abouy which team you see as a potential trade partner. Im thinking NJ. They dont have any seconds so maybe theyd consider moving down from 7 to 10 or 11 (assuming one of those
pick is acquire in trade before) for pick 47. They could still get a guy like Sanderson

If we really want a top10 pick, Winnipeg is the only option I see, with maybe NJ. There's been rumours all year that they were looking for RD, and Petry could become expandable since his contract is over, but we have no replacement for him right now. There would have to be some stuff added to balance, but Winnipeg is really not in rebuild, so they may agree to trade their top 10 pick. NJ, since they have 2 picks higher (18 and 19 currently), they may agree to trade for 1 of those 2, but I doubt they agree to trade no7, since they will be looking for elite wingers. Though, it may change, as you said, if we propose them another top pick previously acquired. At 11, Nashville may also be a target, but we have nothing to offer them. They don't need a center or LW (domi) nor a defenseman (Petry).

If we can draft around 10, I would focus on guys like Perfetti or Quinn (maybe Sanderson, but I don't want to debate it here). We need goal scoring, and those guys are perfect. My personal favourites are Holloway and Reichel, but top 10 is a reach for both. These 2 are power forward wingers with offensive skills, size and grit, which fills all our needs.

I like Sergachev , not sure hes a top pair D though and at 8,5m he better be i think as good as he is his numbers are inflated by the team he plays on and surrounded by McDonaugh and Hedman . but half his Pts came on the PP and his +- is helped by the fact hes not on the top pairing. still think hes solid and wish we hadnt traded him for drouin but 8.5 seems steep at the same time might be what is needed to get him out of TB although honestly I cant see how Bergevin makes that offer and effectively admitting he ****ed up traded him.

Top 10 pick if availlable in trade I think Nashville and maybe minesota but Winnipeg at the forefront for sure and the pick should be Sanderson (although not as much if you sign Sergachev and have Romanov coming up) the other is Jack Quinn or if a raymond or holtz or rossi for some ****ed up reason drop to 10th
