Really don't see what's in that for Detroit, I'm sure they'd decline.

Comments:

- by any means add a top notch big defenseman - Parayko is the guy. STL will only entertain that if it involves making space to resign Pietro. Nylander and Kerfoot give them highend skill and depth at F, Leafs take Bozak and Steen contracts.
- Schultz UFA to play with Muzzin. UFA's might get a little less than expected this offseason due to flat cap
- Fabbri replaces Johnsson for less money and some upside
- Bozak replaces Kerfoot, just an all around better player
- Winger depth is a question but the D had to get improved, necessary sacrifice

Fabbri is a better player, doubt they'd move him for Johnsson.

I think Engvall could be your 3LW, just dump Johnsson for a 3rd and don't bother with Fabbri.

Some things I’ve noticed here...

Mikheyev and Dermott died in the offseason

Blues save what... 3m? Think they could lose that much easier.

haha forgot about the RFAs, good call. I'm ready to move on from Dermott (Rielly, Muzzin and Sandin top 3 LD), and yeah maybe Mikhayev instead of Fabbri here, or a Mikhayev trade

You are absolutely correct Detroit isn't trading Fabbri for Johnsson.

Yeah it'd be silly to deal Fabbri already, really think he can be part of the solution in Detroit.

I think so as well. Detroit was really really bad this season and Fabbri playing as well was one of very few bright spots Detroit had.

Dermott is just as good on the right side. And he may have been out best Dman in the play in. I would keep him.

When you consider the way the Blues are built, Parayko at 5.5m is a better option for us than Pietrangelo at 9.5m. Having both might be possible, otherwise keeping Parayko makes more sense than giving Petro the bank IMO. I like Nylander a ton, but I dont think trading Parayko for him is the answer.

Not a chance Doug Armstrong moves Parayko.
