The defence did not cost them the series. I wish all the fans on here actually had a small concept of what happens in the games. The two biggest factors on why TO lost was Korpisalo and zero depth support offensively. Nylander outscored the bottom 6, by himself. The defence kept the Blue Jackets away from the net except for odd man chances that occurred when the high forward in the offensive zone failed to cover for the pinching defence. Guess who did that the most? The 3rd line. Defence does need an upgrade but to say we can't win without blowing up the only players that showed up just to get RHD is stupid. Get a partner for Rielly and let the kids play and get rid of anyone who blows the high forward assignment twice in a game.
