All those trades are awful for Buffalo. Strome isn’t worth 8th overall either.

8OA>Strome

If you're saying Ottawa gets Mittelstadt in exchange for taking on Okposo then Ottawa at least considers it, might need to sweeten a little more though (Mittelstadt is nice but he's underwhelmed so far and Okposo has 3 years at 6mil left. The price for 1year at 6.25mil for dumping Marleau was a 1st). Not sure why you didn't just add him to the trade if he's supposed to be a part of it. If it's just Okposo for 7th then why would Ottawa do that.

Anaheim probably doesn't do that trade for Miller but somebody will (might get better value from Toronto).

The #8 OA is a bit too much for Strome. He's worth a mid to late first rounder.

Maybe we include Nicolas Beaudin, 2017 1st round draft pick LHD. Will make a good 2nd line LHD but likely another year from cracking the lineup.

The user signed Edmundson to a 5 year deal as the 2nd line left sided guy? Who is ready to step up behind Dahlin? A lot of the Buffalo AGMs bring in a 2nd line LHD if not a 3rd liner. There's obviously a gap there that needs to get filled.

People act like giving up the 8OA is a huge deal. That pick MAY turn into a very good player. If it gets us a 2C, what is the issue? Strome was 3OA in the deepest draft in a long time. How are we to be sure that a prospect will be any better?

This draft may be as deep or better than that one. The eighth overall pick in this draft is likely to be a better player than him. It’s not guaranteed of course, but why would you take that chance? That’s like saying they should give the Hawks Cozens for Strome straight up.

Risto's contract is too expensive. Winnipeg would say no.

This draft is pretty good, at 8 they could pick up a top pair D man. The offensive talent isnt going to be elite like the 1st 2 picks but most of those forwards are expected to reach Reinharts level at least. would you swap Reinhart for Strome straight up?

Their is a 1 or 2 year gap for a 3rd pair guy, but the Sabres have a ton of prospects already so if theyre 1 year or 2 away that does nothing

Dahlin currently. Hard to say because it was D by committee, Montour and McCabe were there too. In the pipeline is Bryson Johnson and Samuelsson

It’s only like 9 million real money though! Eugene loves those ones
