Dude you don’t trade a pick that can land someone like Lafreniere.

Eichel is a pretty damn good player and Laf is unproven. And a legit 1C vs Wing. You'd be a cup favorite immediately with Eichel. Lafs salary for 3 years makes it tougher for NY to do. Sabres only make that deal tho if Eichel forces their hand.

That’s fine because Buffalo doesn’t do it either. Trouba isn’t good, Ryan Strome only shows up in contract years, Brendan Smith is horrible and Lafreniere is still a question mark.

I would be mildly surprised if Lafreniere reaches Eichel's level of trade value during his career. Only thing he'd have over Eich right now is a 925,000 elc.

You’re forgetting his $925k salary in a time where we don’t have much cap space. And I stand by my point I wouldn’t trade that pick unless it was part of a package for McDavid or MacKinnon

Hey, that’s your business.
Eichel is a 1C
Centres > Wingers
Plus he comes with a long contract.
Eichels been a point per game player for 4 consecutive years, can you guarantee the same from the #1 pick?

You're severely overvaluing Laf. If those are you expectations I would prepare to be disappointed.
