Based on previous goalie for pick trades Murray is worth 1 of those picks. Probably just the 2nd rounder.

So you traded Detroit Murray’s RFA rights but he’s still your backup? We’d respectively pass also as we need to retain our draft capitol.

I have no idea why he’s still showing up on our team

Vancouver declines they aren't gonna trade a pick when they're also giving up the better player

PIT killed Murray's value by starting Jarry in the pivotal game. They'll be lucky to get a single 3rd round pick for him.

You also signed him as an RFA so u have to drag him to the delete spot. It should still keep him in the trade though.

And I was literally just about to make a Virtanen thread the guy is literally the perfect right winger for Crosby and Guentzel. He's got all the tools to be a great player whether he produces or not.

He's really strong. Has gone toe to toe with guys like Phaneuf and Greenway.

He's a very fast skater. Finishing first in the Canucks superskills with 13.47 scoring better than Horvat who got 13.42 at the all Star game. This also makes him faster than MacKinnon, Point, and Eichel among others.

On top of the first two he has tremendous balance. He's able to withstand hits from bigger players. Like Phaneuf. I even remember seeing his CHL highlights where a much bigger player hit him but Virtanen stood him up. Virtanen was also able to protect the puck from MacKinnon in a rewind game I saw which intrigued me cuz MacKinnon is also known as a strong player.

He's got a heavy and fairly accurate shot.

He uses his weight to his advantage and actually hits a lot.

He's responsible with the puck. And will probably use his body to check opponents rather than his stick. So he is decent defensively. And all of this would make him great for board battles and retrieving pucks. He has a lot more takeaways than giveaways. And I actually expect his giveaways to decrease if he can play with a lot more poise and stay on the top line as he has only averaged just under 13 minutes throughout his career and has never averaged more than 15. Some of his giveaway passes in the qualifiers this year were just easily mistakes that likely wouldn't happen if he had more confidence.

Hornqvist needs to go. He looks out of place in the lineup. He can’t keep up with Crosby/ malkin in the top 6 anymore and he’s too expensive as a 3rd liner.

Detroit declines, you can have a 3rd rounder and that's it, otherwise peddle him somewhere else or keep him

none of this is true.

Murray stood on his head, and looked good. The team played awful in front of him. Specifically the 3rd pairing defense of JJ and Schultz.

You want to talk about two guys who killed their value it's them.
Up until then Schultz was probably going to get a decent payday, that's gone.
JJ could have possibly been traded. That's wrecked too.
If either one of them had played even decently they would have moved on.
But no one watched that series and say "murray is done"
That simply didn't happen. If anything he showcased he can still play. His game 2 performance was light out and he played solid in games 1 and 3.

One season let alone one game isn’t going to kill a guy’s value. Murray would be an upgrade for probably 7 or 8 teams easily

Haula wants to be a 2C. The lack of such opportunity was why he was unhappy at Vegas and then Carolina.

Would you have any interest in Jost?
