Nylander had a good seasona nd proved his contract. Don't think he gets traded, maybe for Pulock if the Isles are down

you trade marner because of his attitude imo. yes he’s a phenomenal player, not elite don’t even think about it, but his lack of work ethic really showed in the qualifiers. he’s not the guy you want as the leader in the room. keep him and calm his ego down or let him go.

Clifford re-signing means 3rd-rounder to L.A. turns into a first-rounder. Zero chance. I agree re Gudas and Thornton, but see Simmonds up front on the cheap too. Nylander is cap-over-cash, and a cheapskate like Florida will want that. Ekblad?

If the Leafs are holding onto the first round pick (no future trade), I don't mind downgrading from a second to a third. Clifford is the bite we need and moving away from him creates more problems

It’s going into year one of a flat cap era. Is now the time you really want to be moving marner? Teams haven’t even had a chance to adjust their own situation your just going to turn into someone else’s solution moving a contract of that size now. Makes sense to wait a year let teams make adjustments first once more teams have stabilized themselves your more likely to have better options.
