Preds pass. No way they are giving up Tomasino.

Tomasino is a nice prospect - but he'll never be half of what Marner currently is - this isn't giving up on Tomasino this is aquiring a top 5 RW in the league

That's a pretty bold statement, since his comparison are Domi/Nylander. Time will tell though. If he's never going to be half the player Marner is, why do you want him in a trade? Wouldn't a pick or roster player with low salary make more sense then?

I viewed tomasino as someone who is cost controlled for a few years and could fetch up to 45-50 points a year by the end of his ELC. It was kind of a split of point per dollar thing vs Marner if Ellis and tomasino can combine for 80-85 points vs Marner 90+ and Dermott as a low level replacement than I would consider it fair value for both sides

It would, not my proposal, was just stating it's a reasonable offer - my personal preference with a Nashville trade is Marner Liljegren for Ellis Arvidsson , picks back and forth to balance and appease the masses

Preds pass. The hole created by losing Ellis, their best prospect, plus whoever else that gets sacrificed to accommodate Marner's salary is greater than the value Marner would provide.
