Hughes is leading defenseman scoring in the playoffs and is top 5 overall I think.

Because I think hes not better than any of the guys ahead of him (maybe im being a bit hard on him because i know hes got norris potential)

He has a debate at being better than Ekblad. But no higher

Jones is really good in transition, and is a big body who plays big minutes. Hes a smart player whos trusted by his coach.

But, he doesnt really have an elite offensive or defensive impact

Yeah that settles it.

I can't take this post seriously.

Having 4 out of 5 of the leagues top D prospects in the TOP5 which all have room for improvement and missing some key d-men like Jones and Weber...not a good list in the slightest.

You seem to be the only one who doesn’t like jones. Back to back to back 40+ point seasons including 57 but has no offensive impact

Top D prospects in the league are Heiskanen, Makar, Hughes, Dahlin and Fox.

Aside from Dahlin everyone of them are in this list. It's quite hilarious to consider them as TOP20 D-men when Heiskanen's the most experienced one of them with the grand total of two seasons in the league...

Jones is not a top 20 defenseman in the league

Hes pretty overrated imo

Jones is elite in transition, and is a big body who plays big minutes. Hes a high IQ player whos trusted by John Tortorella.

But, he doesnt really have a really offensive or defensive impact

Disrespect to Weber here. Ever since he was traded to MTL he became a fossil lol, the injuries didn't help, but until his stats start to decline, when he's on the ice. Top10-15 Dman

Its not a matter of liking.

Im sure hes a great guy. But hes so overrated by the vast majority of hockey fans.

Pretty much any advanced stat other than his transition numbers would agree with me

Hes definitely up there and I considered putting him on the list, but hes definitely an honourable mention

That's a thing you should say in the title or description... I could understand leaving Jones out in this case but only because he was injured for such a long bit.

But if your making a list in general he absolutely belongs to TOP15...arguably TOP10.

Tf. Have you even paid attention then last week and a half. Columbus has zero business beating Toronto without Jone. He literally is a younger, less refined version of Hedman
