Chytil/Strome for 2C and offer sheet Sergachev?

would rather just make a big trade with tampa for cirelli and segachev over keeping strome and i doo like chytil but i dont think hes ready for #2c

Trade for Maatta to play with Trouba and try to go all in for Cirelli.

Sign the RFA/UFA to deals you think is in the fair range both $ and length in your opinion. Create Alexis Lafreniere, because unless Jeff Gorton gets a deal that is unfairly in his favor(example Ottawa 3+5 and maybe more, LAK 2 + Villardi/Turcotte maybe more, he is the pick. Lastly try and make some trades that help fill this teams holes from strength to have them compete.

Couple of things I have been mulling over.

1. Understand the rangers need to address the 2C position and the top LHD position. A few guys I would love to go after and we have had recent transactions with these two teams are Cirelli (TBL) and Trocheck (CAR) for centers . Sergachev for the LHD position. We are pretty well off at the wing position I think and could potentially exploit specifically TBL's cap issue to get one of these guys. More than likely going to cost us a 1st rounder + something sizable. Dare i say Kravtsov as well?

2. Playing devil's advocate to this - Strome seemed to have meshed well with Panarin, so a part of me says to myself - if it's not broke, why fix it? I am not a corsi, advanced stat guy but they seemed to have played well with each other.

exciting time to be a fan but some tough decisions that have to be made.

Maybe yeah, Strome hits UFA next season so bridge him and then let him walk in UFA and hope Chytil is ready after another full season?

Ton of money coming of the books next offseason, along with an expansion draft, so I would map it backwards from protection list and trade for a few free spots and 2nd rounders and exempt players and ridiculously active in next off season. Give a year of a 3 strong rhd and 3 strong lw and holes at lhd and center and hope some kids grow into the spots with a free agency as a big card next off season, along with a flat cap and expansion draft.

ok should we move a winger cause say if we pick lafreniere we'll have lafreniere kakko panarin kreider buch chytil guathier and say krav makes the jump this season then thats 8 wingers. IMO buck and guathier should probably go. play kakko panarin laf and kreider in the top 6 and have chytil and guathier on 3rd line and fill in the 4th. then for centers obvi zibby is #1 then idk. i dont want to bring strome back long term maybe 2-3 year. then a bunch of people dont like howden so what do we do for 2nd 3rd and 4th line centers. also is andersson gunna come back or should we just move him and be done with it. and with 3 good RHD with trouba long term and fox being fox do we resign deangelo or trade him

I feel that some people want to write him off as a center completely and don't know if that is fair, he is still only 20 years old and there is so much maturing that needs to be done that simply just comes with time.

Chytil I think is a player that is part of the future core and I know that this wasn't stated but I have zero interest in trading him.

That cost would be insane for a top LHD + a 2C... that may start with Kakko no thanks
