Lindgren is a borderline ECHL goalie... why would Pittsburgh trade DeSmith for him?

Because Pittsburgh has been trying for a year to get rid of DeSmith's contract. Lindgren simply gives them depth at the AHL level.

I don’t think habs would consider that oilers deal. Nor am I certain Edmonton does that deal. Price of domi extension is a tough pill for Edmonton to currently look at. I don’t think it’s actually a crazy offer however jp admittedly doesn’t have the nhl resume yet to be dealt for a proven top six forward.

Domi is worth more than PJs. PJs value has tanked from a league perspective the Oilers are far better off bringing him back onto their team and letting him produce on a line with Draisaitl.
Then they should trade PJ to a bottom feeder team.
