Wow. I think that's like the second most players I've ever seen moved in 3 deals.

Guys, I would like some insight on Andrew Copp. Don't really watch him, but his stats are pretty good, shows that he's an excellent defensive forward. Toronto might be forced to move Kapanen due to cap situations so they will need a cheaper replacement. Is Copp fast & a good forechecker? Would you be willing to trade him for Holl, Der-Arguchintsev & 2021 1st?

I wouldn't say Copp was fast, just adequate. He's excellent defensively, good forechecker, just not much offensive touch. I doubt the Jets consider trading him though, he's just too good defensively.

Copp has deft hands around the net but he sure isnt a sniper....Very good in his own zone and very reliable. He also got used from the 1st line to the third as he fits anywhere in the lineup.

It would be hard to refuse that offer from a Jets perspective.

In my opinion, and not trying to be biased just because it's Winnipeg...but I think Copp is one of the BEST defensive forwards in this league, but he can also put up 30 points a year. Like others have said, Copp isn't super fast or anything but he's not slow, average. To me, he is the ideal 3rd line centre addition to any team. The package you put together would be very tempting especially with the 2021 1st. Thinking about Seattle and who we have to protect, Copp may have been the off one out due to the quality forward we already have. I'd pull the trigger most likely.

Can we simplify and do Dougie and Nino for Ehlers and a pick?

I would think that Chevy would do that if we could talk with Dougie first....If he wants 8M+, then no thanks...

That would be ideal but doubt they move him unless he's not going to resign there.

Like others have said, Copp is an unsung hero on the team. Amazing defensively and a great play driver, just hasn't really shown great ability to finish thus far in his career. At his year end interview he mentioned that he wants a shot at our vacant 2C spot and he was tried there on occasion before, but never for a long stretch to see what he can really do. His not as fast as Kap is but he has decent speed and is excellent on the forecheck and his positioning is elite. He's incredibly intelligent and likely has a career in coaching when his playing days are done.

I don't want to move him but I'd have to take that offer. The 20211st is gold to a draft and develop team like ours, even if it's likely late. Holl really is almost a negative for us as he has a $2M hit and we'd be looking to play him on the bottom pair over Poolman or pressbox him so I'd leave him out of the deal unless you needed to dump his cap.
