Andersson has lost his value, and can no longer be considered a top10 pick for the purposes of acquiring a super high end talent like Eichel

Kravtsov is still an unknown. It’s a big ? imo as to what he’ll become. I do think he has value, but idk if we’d be interested.

Georgiev could be of interest, but we also have UPL coming to be our long term #1 in another year or 2 at the most.

You’ve gotta keep in mind...
this is Eichel you’re talking about here.
Any trade for him would really have to blow us away.
Lafreniere is great, but still an unknown
So i really think it would take more

I’ll try & think about what “more” would be
Especially since there’s no way u guys could make this deal without sending us at least 1 “cap dump” back

And losing our only decent Center would kill us too
We’re already struggling to find a 2C

Sabres would probably want something more like this for Eichel
Chytil
ADA
Georgiev
Kravstov
Canes 1st round pick
maybe throw in Andersson and get a 4th round pick back

You can say that with every prospect as a question mark.. that’s get a unreal talent in laf Kravstov has looked very good and everyone on this site calls ppl a bust way too early he’s Obvs not a top 10 pick but lias can’t still be a good mid 6 player and you get a very good young goalie sure maybe something a little more can be added but it’s really not a bad deal for both sides imo and as it looks rn buff is just wasting eichel

They already have a decent d core that offer is worse then the one purposed imo Laf is the big main piece coming back to buff and he wasn’t even in the deal you just made?

The #1 overall pick is not going to be traded, Rangers have not had a first overall pick since 1965 when the draft was not even a real draft. You win cups through the draft
Chicago
Boston
Pens
LA
Also who is to say the Sabres don't trade ADA and a package or Ristolainen to the Leafs for Nylander who are in dire need of defenseman?
You are dreaming if you think the Rangers trade the first overall pick... it isn't happening

HAHA I never said it was gonna happen and they would be getting a top 5C and no the leafs don’t need ada or risto.. risto might be the worst dman in the nhl but ok buddy!

I’m not saying Kravtsov or even Anderson are busts yet,
but i don’t think u can consider them ultra high end trading chips anymore either...
not when you’re trying to get a guy like Eichel
When you’re trading a guy like Eichel,
u care about the top line assets you’re getting back...
Not the middle6 ones

And yeah, we definitely have wasted Eichel so far
But he’s also under contract for 6 more years
So it’s gonna take a whopper of a deal for us to even consider it

Kravstov was drafted 2 years ago how isn’t he a high trading chip?

Do u think he had a great year this season?
I don’t
It was “ok” at best with a mediocre 15pts in 39 AHL games,
far from “great”
Again... not saying he sucks
I said he’s not an “ULTRA high end chip”
Key word, “ultra”
For comparison sake, your 1oa pick is “ultra” high end
Dylan Cozens for my Sabres, is an ultra high end prospect
A guy who was drafted very high this past season,
then followed that up with an outstanding season this year
*not saying he’s Lafreniere, just that they’re both among the cream of the crop when it comes to high end prospects

Idk... maybe I’m being too harsh?
But his AHL stats just weren’t inspiring to me
Now if he tears it up next year in the AHL,
then I’d be ok bumping him back up into the very top tier
Just think this season tarnished his value a little
*at least it do for me
