Description

DeBrincat had a bad year and is having an even worse playoffs. I am terrified that Bowman is going to trade him for a bust like Lias Andersson 1 for 1. Either that or it will be DeBrincat for Georgiev and Smith or something awful. What are your ideas, Hawks fans?

I think Buffalo would be happy to have him. They can offer young, cheap talent like Mittelstadt and Thompson in return.

Although he has had a terrible playoffs, I doubt he gets traded yet. If he has another bad season next year I could see Bowman looking to potentially move on from him

Wahlstrom and Varlamov as a starting point? Gives you a hopeful young replacement and goalie who has rebounded nicely this year

Honestly, that's a very legitimate concern and I hate to dump on Bowman too too much, because he had made some great moves, even over the last 3-4 years. But how many budding young forwards have they traded since the last Cup win? Why couldn't he do it again?

I think this is a bit harsh on Debrincat. He did put up a point last night and he was all over the ice making plays. I do agree he hasn't scored as much recently as he typically does. As for Bowman trades...5th rounder for Kubalik will win any debate. The Kings didn't have to send him to CHI. That was their best offer.

I just realised what his contract is. I don't know what Bowman was thinking. He gave a 21/22 yr old a 3 year bridge contract....not at 4M....not at 5M...but 6.4M. I guess Bowman assumed Debrincat is a minimum 70pt player. Let's hope next season Debrincat comes back to his level of 18/19
