Nope, it's already a good trade for NYR.

Only thing I’m gonna say is that having a top 4 wing core of panarin, laf, Kane, and kakko kinda makes losing kravtsov and Buch much more tolerable. Taking on Lundqvist should help too, plus only losing one 1st round pick (a low one at that).

I think Kane should get back more than that. 1st, top prospect and quality NHLer to start the conversation. Rangers need to get rid of Hank and Buch anyways due to roster and cap concerns, and Krabtsov has potential to be decent but is far from their top prospect.

Not saying that the Rangers should give up much more than that, but if that's the best offer they get, the Hawks shouldn't take it

Our logjam renders Robertson useless unfortunately. Good player, just no room on our roster. With strome, honestly I just don’t want any stromes on the hawks anymore. Andersson is unappealing due to his attitude, and staal doesn’t work because again, no room, and we’re taking on Henrik.

Honestly, this is a pretty fair deal. Kane is still a top 5 winger who gels with panarin and we’re at least taking back Henrik for cap management for at least a season.

Agreed, this is assuming we get exactly what we want out of any trade. I don’t know, again, this trade really does seem fair...

Mainly depends on the return for toews. I’m one of the hawks fans who is fine with trading both for the sake of ushering in the future. Problem is, knowing toews, he’d never leave Chicago. Kane is different story though.

They both have NMCs so it's probably not up to management. Honestly, I think they both retire as Blackhawks

Absolutely would be less. I’m gonna make another thread in a minute to show what it may look like.

Like what exactly? I only ask cuz there’s not much in Buffalo I’d want for Kane.
