I like the Tampa trade, I’m not sure Tampa accepts. I think if you put Kravstov in there it’s a different conversation. PDG and Edstrom aren’t enough. Would still be a lot though

The other issue is Palat has a NTC, so he'd have to waive it and accept. Kravtsov is one of those 50/50 guys. You want to see him pan out cause hes talented, but not sure if he will or if he will even get a chance to crack the roster. Can you live with him being the rate limiting step in a trade?

Cirelli for Buch and a 3rd maybe.... The 3rd mainly being positional.

Their on ice value has been very close over the last 2 seasons and Buch will be cheaper long term.

Uh Palat doesn't have negative value, far far from it. Doubt Tampa would even trade him for that package. You aren't getting Cirelli and him unless you give up some premium piece like Kravstov, or Miller and add from there

Im not sure how others feel, but if Kravtsov is the last piece of the puzzle to land Cirelli and Palat, I think can live with that. 2C is too imporant a position to get held up by a RW prospect that people are still unsure is gonna make it at a NHL level or not. I never looked at Palat as negative value, however he does have a big contract and the Rangers have the cap space to fit it in allowing them to hold on to and resign Sergachev.

How nice of you to do Tampa a "favour." I don't see them dumping Cirelli. I think they're going to work hard to keep him.

Why would Ottawa take that trade? Strome is not a fit for them at all and they aren't going to want Brendan Smith.

You also can not LTIR healthy players who you just don't like anymore. I doubt Hank is going to want to go out like that and it makes the organization look bad.

Well they cant keep Cirelli and Sergachev, just not possible money wise.

The Smith/Strome thing isnt something serious, just making a hypothetical move to a team that may need to reach cap ceiling.

Hanks on LITR with the thought that he retires.

You can't just put him on LTIR. He needs to be medically unfit to play. If he is healthy, why would he agree to sit on LTIR? He wouldn't. You can't force him to retire and threaten him with LTIR, it's literally not allowed. If he doesn't want to retire you're stuck with him, so that's a big gamble to make all these moves and then hope. Does he seem like he wants to retire? I haven't gotten that feeling.

Tampa will move guys they don't want to keep guys they do. That's what everyone does. They aren't going to take 50 cents on the dollar for Cirelli. Everybody said the Leafs couldn't resign Marner last year and they managed to do it. This is ARMCHAIR GM for a reason, real GM's are better than us and they do the impossible.

No one is threatening Hank with retiring, just saying the writing is on the wall and he retires.

Secondly, youre right, this is arm-chair GM and youre taking this way too seriously.

I am not sure where you're getting that from, just trying to have some dialogue and help you understand you can't make players disappear. If you think I take this seriously, you might be spending a little too much time here buddy.

Its arm-chair GM, I can make players do whatever I want to create the desired effect. Sadly theres no spot for retirement. I get it, youre mad that with his retirement the Rangers free up 8.5m.

Literally not mad. Not concerned at all. Have a great day man and stay safe out there.
