Too much for jost.
Chicago doesn’t need or want d, especially benning.
No way Ottawa does that. They don’t need nurse with the specs they have and White has been great for them, though Pool party interests them I’d think.
Would you take Kapanen for Larsson instead?

Nurse + Pulju have a hell of a lot more value than Brown and a 1st.

No way the Jets are trading there only center prospect for Russell, there's a ton of D they can sign in free agency.

They'd be better off with Kapanen rather than Kerfoot if the goal is to have defensively responsible players. Or target Zacha for a center instead of Kerfoot.

I think Kerfoot is on the trade block. He doesn't fit well in the role TOR has him in. They need a Kadri replacement (quality d-zone play and physical) and Kerfoot isn't that type of player at all.

Funny enough if you watch, Kerfoot is almost a poor mans Kadri. He’s not as physical but he can play physical, he’s fast and he’s not horrible in the d zone. Personally I wouldn’t have him on the block rn

Love the Zacha suggestion. Changed the roster to trade AA for Zacha. Kept Larrson.

He's not good in the d-zone either, there is a reason he doesn't get put on the PK.

You hit the nail on the head here. COL fans thought the same way, Kerfoot is a poor mans Kadri. His strength is being defensively sound, low risk but low reward type of player. He isn’t gunna drive the offense on his line, but he’s also not gunna give up dangerous turnovers or miss coverage in his own end

"Defensively responsible players"... signs Alex Galchenyuk lmfao, he may be the farthest thing from defensively responsible in the NHL (he's def down there with McDrai Kuzy AA and Kakko at least)

Kerfoot had 17 mins of PK time this season, and a 5v5 heatmap that looks like this (TOR was better without him on the ice):

I think Ottawa accepts that. Giving up the NYI 1st sucks but it’s worth for Pulju’s potential and a top 4 dman. Sens are pretty deep on the left but easing Brannstrom in on the 3rd pair (Nurse at 2LD) would probably be alright, then when Brannstrom is ready to step up, they can deal Nurse at the deadline (with 1.5 years left he’ll be a valuable commodity then)

Or get Brannstrom on the right side

Nah Brannstrom is our long term 2LD and likely second best dman. No need to have him play his off side, we have Thomson, JBD, and maybe Drysdale for the right side long term, and short term it would be better to move anyone else to that side so he can play his best hockey and develop into the role we want him to play.

Not drysdale. Imo it would be crazy for Ottawa to not take Raymond at 5

Glendening is not a good defensive player
Zacha is not a good defensive player

You overpaid for Jost
