Yeah I would probably do that canucks trade. I would rather have Roussel but shaving off the extra year is really nice

Don't see the point in acquiring Roussel. We need the money of expiring Cogliano to re-sign Heiskanen.

Also acquiring Puljujärvi only to play 4th line seems like a waste.

Edmonton takes that deal then squeals with glee like a little girl as soon as you leave the room.

MTL should decline that IMO, I think we are better off keeping Drouin and playing him with KK next year (they have chemistry) then acquire a LD. If we acquire a LD, it has to be a PP quarterback that can play big minutes. We have Romanov coming up next season and we have a good mix of LD prospects. With the emergence of Kulak, Chiarot and Kulak can play top 4 until Romanov is ready, then Chiarot would likely go to Seattle. This deal would make sense if we re-signed Tatar and Domi long term, Caufield is top 6 ready in 2021-22. MB likes Lindell as a partner for Weber or Petry, Drouin loses his chemistry with KK and Brook/Juulsen beats Fleury on the depth chart.

Is the trade for Roy a roster size issue? As a Sharks fan, he’ll never play an NHL game, so y’all should pass on him.

Only way I send Drouin and Fleury to Dallas at this point is for Harley Plus. We need a young guy that doesn't need protection from the ED and can play top 4 minutes. I assume if MB is still in charge he is protecting Weber, Kulak and Chiarot and will have a deal in place to resign Petry after the ED and before FA. That will leave Mete unprotected and likely to be selected.

Highly disagree Roy is a solid D guy who has a confidence issue after getting hurt 2 years in a row, he’s 21 but his progression is closer to 18 due to the missed years! Give him 1-2 years in the AHL and he will be a strong 4-6 D-Man

I wanted Roussel back for the physical play and character. Plus he played well while he was here. I guess I'm just sore that he left in FA. Puljujarvi wouldn't be playing strictly 4th I just had him there to start.

I wanted to trade for Roy because Texas doesn't have enough RD.

If he was 26 I’d agree but at 21 he has potential still

We drafted him at 31 overall so he did have a lot of potential, 2 injuries derailed his development, last year he was finally healthy this year is a show me year.

Hey Rob! Guess what?! The Sharks didn’t even qualify Roy on a min contract. This is me rubbing it in your face. Are you going to disagree now... because you’re an idiot.

He did have a lot of potential before back to back knee injuries, For you to disagree makes you an idiot! Dumb ass!!!
I think the sharks have soured on him but I would bet money he plays at least 25 games in the NHL for another team.

They compared him to Duncan Keith but yea your right hardly any potential. Jack ass.

Lolololol. You can’t even take an L! He has zero potential, so much so the Sharks didn’t even qualify him! He’s not even worth trying to keep around in an area the Sharks are weak at in the prospect pool apart from Merkley. Thanks for linking a totally irrelevant link. Comparisons are made, but that doesn’t remotely mean that person has near the capability or potential to meet that capability. They make comparisons with 7th round picks to current NHL players, and 7th round players have less than a .01% of making the NHL. It’s hilarious that you don’t know that comparisons mean absolutely nothing in terms of potential and the folks making those comparison regularly say so. Lololololol. Picks 25-35 have less than a 5% of making the NHL. So yes! Huuuuuuge potential. You’re a complete dumb****.

Dude. You’ve been dunked on. Put your head down in shame and walk away like any other sane person.

Act like an ass all you want the sharks traded a lot to move up and draft him!

Featured snippet from the web
The Sharks traded up to draft Roy 31st overall in 2015. To acquire the pick, the Sharks sent the No. 39 selection in 2015, their second round pick in 2016 and their sixth rounder in 2017 to the Avalanche. Those picks turned into winger A.J. Greer, Cameron Morrison and Denis Smirnov.

he HAD a lot of potential.
And where the hell do you get your stats dumb ass?
I do research when I argue! Makes me not sound like a dumb ass

https://guelphstorm.com/odds-not-great-for-nhl-draft-picks

“63% of first round picks played but less than 25% of second round picks survived and only 12% of third rounder selections. Former NHL general manager Doug MacLean said his math over the last decade showed that only 15% of second round picks ever become impact players.”

Those are real stats. Again I’ve given proof and reasonable examples to prove my point and you post bull and lies and act like you won and destroyed me.
So next time provide truth Trump! Otherwise I’ll mop the floor with you you pathetic excuse of a hockey fan!

And that my friend was TOP SHELF GLOVE HAND FOR THE win! You know a hockey reference for a hockey forum.
