This was the most thought I've put into a sustainable-type custom team. I think I did a pretty good job. Eric Staal leaves in the summer of 2021, and is replaced by some cheap, older center like Anisimov or Bonino.

The summer of 2026 is when Crosby, Hedman, Marchand and Konecny become free agents. About 47M is freed up that season, so there should be enough money to re-sign them. The first three will probably have lower cap hits if anything, since they'll all be getting close to retirement by then. This team wouldn't really have any young talent to replace them, so 2025-26 would probably be a "last dance" sort of year. Then they either leave or help mentor the new players that replace them as the team declines.

I noticed that too. I focused on the Ducks for a few games this season and I kept hearing his name from the commentators a lot. Seemed to know what he was doing when I watched him.

He’s a solid kid him and the sharks Ferraro looked good for not being highly touted this year they are going to be good for the next 10 years
