Description

If the Bruins can be successful without Rask, I say move on. He’s got a heavy cap hit, and he may be made expendable if Halak plays well. I know I’m gonna get sh*t on in the comments, but this is just my opinion. Maybe add more to the trade, but I think it’s close. Maybe a mid round pick at most.

I don't think the Leafs do this without the Bruins throwing in substantial capital in terms of draft picks or another prospect. Rask is one of the best goalies in the league, yes, but he is also 33 and had retirement worries earlier this year.

This isn't even close. Toronto already has 2 goalies. Why would they spend all the cap space they get from trading Nylander on yet another goalie?

This is like us giving you Andersen for Carlo. It just makes no sense. You guys already have a goalie...

The ask for Nylander would be Carlo + Kase + picks

Bruins fans don't realize how good they've had it with Rask. He's been totally unappreciated by a large chunk of that fanbase. I don't know who the next guy is in Boston, but it's sure as hell not going to be a career .922sv% goalie.

This trade just makes no sense. Trading Nylander for 1 year of Rask (plus it seems like he is retiring after next season)... Is Rask really the piece the Leafs need to win the cup?

The whole point of trading Nylander is to get money to sign a RHD.

If they did Rask + Carlo + 2021 1st for Andersen + Nylander that would make more sense.

Thats not the deal and no way they hanf tuukka to a playoff ten in the division. Look west, Calgary or Edmonton if the cap works. Maybe minny but not sure they'd want to gibe alot for a 1 year rental.
