So jersey moves up a little for a similar calibre player for taking on James Neal. What are we getting for giving up Bratt? Jersey says HELL no

Danault alone is worth more then the package coming back from Edmonton and they get picks, one of which is 16th overall.

Not really, just think Nurse is overrated, Chaisson is worth a late pick, AA cant play defence, and Lavioe is the only piece that intrigues me. Dont see anything there that's worth one of the better centers in the league.

He’s a good C but pump the breaks a bit he’d be 3c on Edmonton and many other teams. One id be interested in as a rental but not much more than that.

Sure on Edmonton he would be because they have Draistle and McDavid but most teams he is a 2C. Take away his powerplay production or lack there of and he competes with most of the top centers in the league. Hell out scored 2/3 Selke finalists at even strength this year while going against the same top lines they did but because he doesn't get over 10 power play points he doesnt reach that 60+ point mark, making him "only an average center" in fans eyes

So from Edmonton’s perspective does giving up that much for one year of him as a 3c make sense? The pick is nice but isn’t helping oilers improve now. I would love to add him as a rental but could get better offer from flames maybe someone viewing him as a 2c that has flexibility in a longer term commitment.
