Team: 2020-21 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 16, 2020
Published: Aug. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Oilers draft Askarov if the Canes pass him on(which in reality I doubt will happen)

Talbot has played well in the playoffs, so I can see the Oilers giving him another chance, especially since they have a budget

Oilers really so not need AA IMO

I dont think Hawks fans think they need a #2C. Dach is going to be a big deal...even next year. He's developing at a very face pace.

I don't know what hawks fans you've talked to, but Dach is clearly the 2C, he's been one of their best players this postseason and appears to have a much higher ceiling than Hughes or Kakko.

It's been 1 season. Dach has shown a higher floor not a higher ceiling.

I’m not sure why oilers do that. Nuge is a huge part of the top six.

I really like RNH, and have for a long time... But I don't think it's a great idea to trade those picks, A young top 6 center in Strome, a young D in Carlsson for a 1 year rental. This would be a move we would make if we had a terrible GM who though we were closer to being contenders than we were.

If he has another monster season, I'm not sure I want to extend him at 28 years old... Where he will have like 4 years to be a top performer.

How do you figure? Hes got 5 points in 7 playoff games AND his 5v5 metrics are leaps and bounds better than either KK or Hughes. I'm NOT saying they're busts AT ALL. I'm saying give props to the kid that's crushing it more so than his counterparts.

Why would Talbot take a pay cut to be a backup when he can make more and start, split, in Calgary?

If Strome is good enough to be Edm 2C why wouldn't he be good enough to be Chicago's 2C?? Why add Carlsson and draft picks to 'even out' an already even trade??? I'll take Strome at 4x4.5 and keep the rest over RNH at 1x6.

What a 2nd line. Archibald, Strome, Khaira...

If I'm a team with extra 2nd rd picks next year I max offer sheet Bear...

Dach has shown he's ready to play big games, his metrics are outstanding, and his ability to get pucks off the boards are special. I see a lot of Bergeron in his game.

I know that Dach is great, he’s played awesome in the playoffs. The Hawks fans that I’v talked to have told me that Toews won’t be 1C forever, so he can go to 3C and you guys can roll with Dach as 1C and Nuge at 2C(hopefully resigning him at a cheaper price)
