My only condition is that any Klingberg trade has to result in us saving money. So if we trade Cernak that's fine, but we also need to move more money to afford Cirelli and Sergachev.
That trade would be a steal for Tampa Bay though, I'm losing faith in Foote quickly
I think Foote should probably be off limits for Tampa, they’re gonna need cheap defense to fill out their bottom pair and the best way to do that is with guys on ELCs. I don’t know what a fair trade would be though, maybe something like Cernak and Palat? Needs to be a hockey trade because both teams are contenders.
TBL off season is about CAP maintenance not just for next season but the following when there is a realistic chance the cap stays flat again. But I think there are those on here overestimating there problems, worst case scenario they have to part ways with Sergachev and Cirelli and end up with a boat load of draft picks and prospects. But hey that’s my opinion.
Worried we're gonna get stung with Foote like we did with Koekoek. Give him plenty of time to grow only for him not grow.

I would want Foote in the deal and wouldn’t want to pass up Cirelli. Would Klinger and a pick for Cirelli, Gourde, and Foote work?

Foote and Cernak?
something tells me Klingberg might not be available anymore
Lmao. I don’t know if he ever was. Everybody just kicks ideas around on here. I don’t agree with trading him unless we are rebuilding or retooling

yeah
The return on Klingberg would be quiet large due to ability + cap cost. I think Dallas needs a young high end playmaker forward. I personally wouldn’t make an offer to trade him away until after the playoffs. Even at that, there would have to be a replacement in place. That’s hard to do during the Covid Cap era but not impossible.
