He’s the exact kind of player they need. They have enough young talent

So bad. All over. Connor brown & 1st doesn’t get RNH. Let alone tossing i. Yamamoto for a third. And then you give a 15-20 goal scorer $4m?

Guess, Haula and khubodin all WAY overpaid.

Brown scores 30 goals playing with McDavid. You don’t need RNH.

This is bad. Khudobin and Gudas don’t deserve that much money. The Ottawa, Dallas, and Pittsburgh trades are horrible for us, and good luck with the New Jersey trade. Not a fan of this at all.

For the Oilers sake, please stay as far away from the city as possible. Your trades and contracts are absolutely horrible. If you offered that Ottawa trade to the Sens, Melnyk would decline out of pitty. Chia is long gone, no need to make stupid trades anymore. Yikes

Great rational there. A 3rd line player is going to get a stats bump by playing with the best player in the world, and thus his value is that of an elite top line winger.

Why is it in proposals when Oiler fans are trading away a player, there value is perceived as lower due to the 97 bump. But, when they are acquiring a player, that player is worth much because "they can score X number of goals playing with 97".

Can't have it both ways pal

Why do you have the most overrated team in hockey right now?

Yikes that Sens trade is right terrible for the Oilers, signing RNH to a long extension should be a top priority for Holland.

Not in the least. I feel like none of you have ever seen Brown play. The guy does everything you can ask of a winger. He’s also a leader and gritty, two things the Oilers don’t have

I feel like you've never seen one of the best lines in hockey play which Yamomoto and RNH make up 2/3 of.

And where did it get them? They’re sitting home. Just like the Leafs who have a garbage bottom six and a subpar defence. They’ll never win anything if they do status quo

So trading two top 6 forwards for a middle 6 forward and a late 1st is the answer?.. Lol

Idk if you're trolling or what and nor do I care but that's a terrible trade idea for Edmonton.

Edmonton needs one more top 6 forward and they should be fine, unfortunately they don't have the cap space for one, I like Kassian but that contract is really going to hurt them, that space would've been better if allocated for a top 6 winger.

I took Yamomoto out of the trade. They don’t need another top six forward, they need to improve the defence, find a third line centre and get a goalie

Have you looked at who you have here as Draisaitl's wingers cause now they need two top 6 wingers.. Lol

Seriously they could use a couple things but their defense isn't that much of an issue, they could use a 3C but just an average one will suffice, they could use some help in the bottom 6 but they just dont have cap space and who they have are good enough really, simply put trading RNH is the last thing they should do.

You need to play defence to win in the playoffs. Gudas is a huge upgrade over Benning. Haula is a perfect third line centre and Khudobin is a good bit better than Mike Smith wouldn’t you say? And they won’t have cap issues the following season. Look at the UFA’s they don’t have to resign.

Agree with @pharrow - you’ll need significant retention or more draft capital coming to NJ for Neal otherwise it’s a decline.

Yes you need to play defense to win in the playoffs but with all due respect this team you've assembled here is never making the playoffs!!.. Lol
Even if McDavid and Draisaitl could somehow drag this team you have here into the playoffs they'd be a first round exit.

Seriously even Draisaitl couldn't carry those two stumps to 40 point seasons, that bottom 6 isn't gonna contribute much in terms of offense and really it wouldn't be too long before Haula was moved to top 6 winger cause Archibald and Benson have no business being there so you'd still have the hole at 3C.
Yes Khudobin is an improvement on Smith but that's a crazy AAV you gave him, also a lot of what you've done in this thread comes down to the offloading of Neal which won't be as simple as you have it here, he's a cap dump and would cost assets to get rid of, can't see anyone giving a 3rd and a B-prospect for him.

The Oilers need one more top 6 winger and they'll be fine but they have little to no cap space to accomplish that, trading one of the few actual top 6 forwards they have in RNH is the last thing they should do.
