That’s not it in my opinion. Would want one of Kapanen, or Kerfoot for Larsson. He would be a very good right handed defence man for you guys. Your best one actually!

If Ottawa is trading Brown, it should be in a package to acquire either a legitimate top six forward, or a legitimate top 4 D. Trading him for depth pieces leaves you open to getting burned should he reach his full potential (I still think the skill is there to be a 2C, if he figures the rest of it out).

Dermott is a good 3rd pair guy, but that's likely all he ever will be. Engvall is a good 4th liner, and Malgin is an extra skater.

Why am I giving you a good C prospect who’s ready to jump into the NHL and a 3rd for a 3rd pair dman, a fourth liner, and a 13th forward? Literally this holds no interest for Ottawa at all. Even if you think Dermott can be a 2LD Ottawa has Brannstrom for that role.

Flyers aren't trading Myers for a 3rd line RW...Would love to see Kapanen on the Flyers but not at that price.

I don’t want Ottawa to give up on Logan Brown and If he does some end conditioning this summer he could make his mark on the NHL by next year.

How about Kapanen for Laughton and Matthew Strome?
