My thoughts exactly. They have been super protective of him not pushing him into the NHL.

VGK will need his ELC more than DeAngelo especially when Statsny is gone.

I thought the kreider contract was a bit much in the first place. The pandemic made it, not tough to move, but not very valuable.

I like Cody Glass to NYR idea, its probably a good fit.

But it will likely cost more than ADA and Lias.

I could see Vegas asking for some of NYR's goalie depth...could also see them asking for K'Andre Miller (whom DeBoer knows well)

Or maybe offer Kravstov straight up for him.

I think you did a good job in terms of value for the Vegas trade, but I don’t see them saying yes just because Glass will step into the 2C role as the replacement for Stastny.

Why would Winnipeg bring down Lowrys value by adding Perraults cap hit? Zero reason they do this especially since they can just ride out his contract one more year. They have tons of cap space and can easily absorb his salary.
Trading lowry I would be fine with, for the right player.

Just thinking WPG wanted to dump salary in a bigger move to get a 2C and those guys are eating into cap.

If Buff was still with us then it would make sense, but with him gone we have tons of space to let Frenchie ride out his last year. Even more of Little goes LTIR. I was actually thinking the Jets should take a short term cap dump for an extra 1st or prospect prior to the draft.

But you had Bergeron and Krejci as your top 2 centers? how would they give Backes a chance to succeed anyway?
