Dont think NJ accepts that. It will likely cost something more. 10 drops off hard compared to 7

Jersey drops for a career AHL and for a player that isn’t panning out at the position they have too much depth for?
Jersey says no. Easily.

can see that could also see Niku guess it would depend on who NJ covets in the draft and do they like these players

not that far of a drop off 7 to 10 i think it depends on who NJ likes and will he be there at 10 Nogier might not be the guy might need to offer Samburg

i was going to say probably Samberg to upgrade. But Perfetti/Rossi/Holtz/Lundell are all likely gone before 10

that is why it was proposed as a draft day trade the pieces have to fall right for both teams thought NJ might be a team looking to trade but maybe Chevy looks to Buff if his guy is there

Can't see the Devils doing this and the suggestion that it takes Samberg wouldn't be considered by the Jets, personally I don't think he's anything special but they're high on him so he isn't getting traded, really the Jets should just keep their pick and select the best center available, the last time they made a trade to move up in the 1st round of a draft it turned into a disaster.

I feel like this can be said for so many teams.

To jump from 10 to 7, it would take 2nd round value. Most recent comp, I guess, would be in 2019 when ARI sent picks #14 and #45 to PHI for pick #11.

Since NJD doesn't have 2nd rounder this year, why not just offer picks #10 and #43 to NJD for pick #7?

At the 2016 draft the Jets had the 22nd overall pick the time they acquired from Chicago at the TDL, they traded the 22nd pick and an early 2nd rounder which was like 36th overall I think to Philly for the
18th overall pick and a 3rd round pick, the Jets selected Logan Stanley with that 18th overall pick, he's currently a struggling member of the Jets AHL team and keeps falling down the Jets defensive depth chart getting passed by new D prospects every year, so yeah I just really question if it's worth it to move up in the draft with the Jets track record.. 😂

Moving up earlier in the draft into the top 10 might cost more idk but really it's what 3 spots so is it worth it really, if the guy you want is there I guess so but trading away good draft capital for a whole three spots seems crazy to me.
