Blackhawks 2020-21 v3

Created by: Petrock83
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 16, 2020
Published: Aug. 17, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In over half of the Columbus ACGM's I've seen, Wennberg has been bought out. If he is, we should absolutely try to sign him. He has good chemistry with Saad, he is defensively reliable, and can provide some offense as well. Perfect 3C at the right cap hit.

At this point, Strome and Nylander are worth more for their trade value than their on-ice value. Let's get something for them while we still can.

Robertson is a prospect I've liked for a really long time, and he's the type of D prospect the Hawks don't have (big, reliable, and tough to play against). I'm willing to potentially downgrade the pick if need be, but I think Robertson is expendable to NYR since they would have Lindgren/De Haan/Miller/Hajek on the left side for the future.

After next season, they should protect Toews, Kane, Cat, Saad, Keith, Seabs, Brodin, Murphy, and Crow, then hope Seattle takes Maatta, or pay them to (they would need to clear his cap). With Maatta gone, they should have the cap space to re-sign Saad and Brodin, as well as Suter.

Is it actually that bad? Genuinely not sure. I would have thought you guys would want De Haan, but maybe the pick is too high.

He might be surprised that we are giving Nylander away for free.

Matthew Robertson is arguably our best defensive prospect under K'Andre Miller. What would a third liner and a top 6 dman entice us to move him for?

Lol he's a good prospect. Would you trade Formenton for this package?

Nylander still has upside but Formenton was almost at a PPG as a rookie. Due to his skillset, i wouldnt.

Despite Chicago fans hate for him, Nylander still has potential in the right system, so I wouldn't say he's just a 3rd liner. Would you do this deal if we remove the pick?

We aren't trading Matthew Robertson. I don't mind a Nylander-Georgiev deal but this is lopsided.
