Its either Maurice or Laine

Description
It may be time to part with Laine. I think his production is being stifled by PoMo. Wondering what teams would be willing to pay for him. Peg needs a #2 centre and a top 4 RHD. I get we wouldn’t get both in one trade but just testing the waters on what people would be willing to give up for Laine. He’s a pretty polarizing player but has rounded out his game quite nicely from being only a PP specialist and is looking more like a goal scoring power forward.
I am looking for (pure) hockey trades, not quantity for quality trades. No 4 quarters for a dollar although I understand the addition of add ons to balance the trade out. Current NHL players or almost ready prospects are acceptable as are 1st rounders this year. Please, no Ryan Getzlafs or Shea Weber’s, preferably same age within reason. And be kind, first post.

Oh, and I would much rather get rid of Maurice, but Chevy would never let that happen

Believe it or not I’ve thought of that one, 3rd OA would be better though lol. Bringing Thompson in to play with Heinola would be awesome.

I don’t think they trade 3rd because we need that franchise centre but 5th gives u guys that 1-2 Scheifele-Rossi punch

Could be a short term top 4 guy like schultz/shattenkirk that can help their PP and doesnt expect the preds to protect them in the ED

Rossi looks awesome but I wonder if he’s better suited in the east. Guys like Debrincat and Gudreau do well but man he’s small.

But apparently he’s really strong on the puck, has a strong lower body like Crosby, and plays a 200ft game and very solid offensively

Trust me dude Rossi is nothing like that. He is extremely strong on his skates, very dynamic offensively, and solid defensively. He reminds me of Brayden Point on Tampa. I think he would be an amazing 2C and a good 1C once Scheifele starts to decline.

Maurice needs to go, so sick of his 90s style of hockey, skilled players put with plugs, a 3rd line that does nothing but waste time and his favoritism he clearly shows for some guys while throwing shade at others, his treatment of Nic Petan was pretty terrible too!
