Probably not as well ... everyone over rates 1st round picks ... they would be giving up the 5th pick and a deeper pick but getting back an 80-90 pt winger guaranteed. Also not much more money for cheap melnyk... also kinda funny to throw it in the leafs face if he excels

If the isles end up moving a first for cap dumps (Ladd or Boychuk) then I could see Wilde proposed first and then Dobson. Wouldn't expect this to go down though although it is fair

Dobson is pretty much untouchable. There is no chance he’s included in any trade to dump a contract

99/100 times absolutely but it'll be interesting what Lou does. I don't think anyone is untouchable in these types of situations but obviously the future of the franchise come first

Guys like bellows/wilde aren’t untouchable but Dobson definitely is. You don’t trade players like Dobson, defenseman like him are so hard to find. If LL wouldn’t include him in a trade for mark stone, there’s no chance he’s involved in a trade to dump a contract

Sens see Batherson and the 5th OA as untouchable, and while Marner is really good, he doesn't fit the culture they're trying to build. They wouldn't touch that deal.
