You really think the Blues are trading their best LHD when they are trying to win right now?

Where would Kakko play on the Blues? 3rd line maybe?

Dunn is criminally underrated.

Yes. He is. OS might come back to bite us pretty hard for Dunn.

Dunn isn’t getting dealt, I agree, but his value is nowhere near as high as you claimed. I’d take Kakko for Dunn on a heartbeat and I’d personally drive Dunn to the airport and afterwards invite the NYR GM for dinner and pay his meal lmao. Dunn is super underrated though and STL shouldn’t shop him at all.

Exactly. What other piece on the NYR would you trade him for though that would make it worth their while?

Yeah totally agree. Just trying to see if their any legs but I suppose not lol?

I think the value is pretty good, just don't know about the fit.

Yeah they have Pietrangelo, Parayko, Faulk on the RHD and need more LHD. Maybe Ryan Lindgren? idk...

I said that Dunn is underrated and that there’s no way STL trades him in another post. I never said anything to suggest otherwise. Calm down.

Kakko is a future superstar. Not every 18/19 year old can score 60+ points out of the gate. Dunn is their best LHD, but it doesn’t mean he’s worth that much. He’s worth at least a late first or an early second rn IMO since STL is cap strapped and are dealing from a position of weakness. Kakko was the 2bd freaking overall pick last year, his value is still enormous.

It's not even close. Lundkvist is a 2nd pair potential. Dunn is a 1st pair potential.

LOL if Dunn is worth a late 1st the Sens would happily give the Islanders 1st smh. We'd buy the St.Louis GM a Sens jersey with Melnyk on the back of it too.

STL would take that if they can’t trade anybody else to free up cap fro Petro, they shouldn’t IMO, but that’s likely his value rn.

If that's his value why are teams wanting to OS him? Like I said this guy is tragically underrated. I beg you to just take a look at his advance stats and he looks great on the eye test too.

Fun fact. Nail Yakupov had better production than Kakko.

Who was Nail Yakupovs most frequent line mate because Kappo Kakkos was Bret Howden

*sigh*

Are you comparing Kakko to Nail freaking Yakupov?? LMAO. You’re probably labeling Hughes as a bust and you were probably one of those that saw Koktaniemi as a bust after his softmore season. There’s many superstars in the league that didn’t break out until they were 24-25. Huberdeau comes to mind for example. Some prospects are simply more NHL ready then others. Brady Tkachuk was NHL ready out of the gate, but he probably won’t end up as a top 5 player from his draft in 5 years. Some players are more far into their full development than others. Other prospects have more room to grow. Yakupov was also really poor defensively, which never helps. Plus, Yakupov probably had way better line mates than Kakko. Players like Tkachuk and Yakupov got high ice time out of the gate, because their teams weren’t really deep. Players like Kotkaniemi and Kakko were buried in their lineup and still managed 30ish points, which is good for an 18 year old coming directly from Europe.

Kotkaniemi had 50% more points than Kakko in his rookie season.

Hughes' advanced stats show that he was unlucky and should have gotten a lot more points than he ended up with. No such thing with Kakko.

I'm not saying Kakko is a bust. I'm pretty sure he'll be an effective top 6 player but I'm doubtful that he'll be a top player in the league. He'll probably be a 60-70 point player one day but probably not more.

Kakko had every chance to move up in the lineup but he wasn't good enough. You really think Fast is a solid 2nd line RW?

I like how everyone thinks they're gonna offer sheet Dunn to lose a first as if they would be the only team to go after Dunn

I doubt Dunn would even take an offer sheet. He seems pretty loyal to me.

Frankly Lundkvist is an insulting offer and I'm not even a Blues fan.

Aho seems pretty loyal too and took one last year. Most players that take one probably do it so that they can get signed by their team quicker.

Thanks bud. Idk why I thought you we're a blues fan after knowing your Stars allegiance for so long lol.

Yeah, and that's why he likes it: to get rid of Dunn. It's a bad offer, and we're not interested in dealing Dunn anyway.

That's why I said it would take Kakko in the 1st place. Not a chance they consider unless it's something actually worth making them trade an otherwise untouchable player. I don't see any other pieces on the NYR (of lesser value) that would do that for them.

Yeah makes sense. I just get set off pretty easy when hear his name lol. OS will be counter- intuitive imo. Will only be met with the same fate.

What makes you think he will be sub 3 mil

Plays under 20 minutes, only had 25ish points, and doesn’t have arb rights. The Blues will be able to squeeze him unless there’s an offersheet.

Looks like Allen wants to stay and probably should, does that complicate things or not that much?
