Kucherov is literally better than most of those guys.

Panarin is too low.

Stamkos is certainly better than Tavares when healthy. People forget he had 98 points last year and was on pace for 95 this year, plus he had three other 90 plus point seasons when Tavares has never hit 90 in his career.

Plus Marchand should be up there (100 points last year and on pace for 102 this year).

Drasaitl (back to back 100 point seasons) and Malkin as well (dude was on pace for 110 points this year).

Kane is still easily one of the best players in the league, paced for 98 points this year

Ovechkin literally lead the league in goal scoring again

Mark Stone is well Mark Stone

Huberdeau and Barkov are definitely worth mentioning

Despite an awful season it's hard not to mention Gaudreau after pacing 116 points until the all star game last year

I think McKinnon is at the moment the more complete, better overall player

You are all right, the question is who do you move down?

The reason why I made this list like I did, is because I think Kane, Kucherov, Johnny Hockey or Ovechkin are better point producers than some of the guys I put on this list, but are not better overall hockey players as I think they are all kind of one dimensional.

Best examples for not being that are Bergeron and O'Rielly, who will score less points than the guys that you suggested.

And I agree with Barkov. I kind of think the top 3 are kind of set, but there are a lot of players behind them that could make a case for themselves

IMO the league has far to much parity to make a list of just 10 players

Matthews, O"Reilly, Bergeron, Aho, Barzal and Tavares could drop couple of spots. Missing Ovechkin/Kane/Kucherov/Stone/Marchand.

Well, then, Kucherov, Marchand and Stone should still be here. Barzal is one dimensional as you said.

You’re not considering the fact that Stamkos for his whole career has played with elite linemates such as Point, Kucherov, Lecavalier & St Louis whereas Tavares plays with average top 6 guys like Okposo, Moulson, Parenateau & Marner. Yet most seasons he is still at around a point per game. Not saying Stamkos isn’t better but the gap is not as big as you’re making it out to be.

just when it looked like a normal response, the marner being average has to sneak in there

Get barzal out of there. Probably Tavares too. I don’t see how marchand, draisaitl, and barkov can be absent from this list.
