So the way I see it, I’ve seen on here Lars Eller in trades for Strome or TDA. I don’t want to be here and try and offer a ton of smaller nonsense for a big guy... If Caps lose round 1, they’ll make changes. Strome can play 2/3 C and if 2 he will have offense with him. I put in Buch bc NYR are exploring trading him based on rumors. NYR have too many RHD especially with Nils coming in a year or 2. Kempny can be 2 LHD. Don’t know if this is too much or too little and can swap Chytil for someone if needed. Thoughts? They still have Backstrom as 1C here.

none of those players help the capitals win right now.... Strome isnt good. hes a career 35 point guy besides 2 season... Deangleo only adds to the caps biggest issue which is defense. Buchnevich is interesting but my counter proposal is..... Nils Chytil and a 1st (or nyr 2nd)

Kinda a remarkably poor trade here. Kuzy has less value than Trouba, while Buch and Deangelo are 2 of the more valuable players in the league. Here's an example of what your trade amounts to (essentially, before even getting to Strome + 1st your trade costs the Rangers 7-8 points in the standings). Then I provided an example of what would be an undersell for Buch/Deangelo based on their on-ice value (Cirelli/Sergachev).

Aim higher. Know your player values.

this is why people hate advance stat guys lol... you are comparing a defenseman to a center and the defenseman has a -1.6 xdef loland the offensive player has a +3.9xoff

Kuzy gives up all of his offensive value on defense. Trouba is a positive defender at even strength, the negative value comes from the PK, which is all on Lindy Ruff's structure.

thats a score-adjusted shots list..... this is what you thinks makes players better/worse? its a massive graph that shows players are neither "good" or "bad" how many players are considered "bad" playing with him? how many are considered "good" playing without him? idk if you understand the graph. i think you see something you think is bad and just regurgitate it without knowing anything about it.

his data basically says Trouba is barely a good defender but has okay offensive upside... Kuzy has amazing offensive upside but terrible defense.... so if you want a poor mans Carlson who makes the same amount of money you could get trouba but youd regret it bc hes not very good at defense and above average at offense lol. i will take my chances with Kuzy poor defense than trade him for an overpaid average defensman lol SORRY

the guy has made $100M in his career, without endorsements.
$5.5M is nothing to him, even less with tax and escrow.
he is a proud guy - it is more likely he walks away from $5.5M than being 3rd on the depth chart...

no please mr i know it all tell me the difference between play A with Kuzy vs player A without... how big is the margin since you think you know it all lol please let me know. you keep sending graphs and all it shows is that Kuzy is elite at offense and terrible at defense we all know this.... but his offensive upside is why team want him. ALSO you are showing that Trouba is god awful at defense which his actual position. again hard pass little guy

Have to ask respectfully, Buch had a career year on pace for 55 pts and would possibly play with Ovie... he’s only 25 so he can turn into a 60+ pt player. How is the value not there?

i think hes interesting but if we use him in the top 6 then oshie would get bumped down.... my biggest issue would be Deangelo value and Strome value/ what they add to the capitals are much
