I 100% believe that if Nashville still had Weber they would be looking at a Stanley cup this year and probably would have beaten Pittsburgh in 2017.

Webber is 35 and signed until the second coming. I highly doubt the Leafs would even look at him period. That contract is going to bite someone in the ass super hard and it will eventually be Montreal.

I agree. Not a chance in hell though yeah. Webber is untouchable because that contract is scary monsters.

Weber is exactly what the leafs need, won’t happen but that’s what the team is missing. Weber may be aging but he is still a beast and clearly has a few years left in him. Sure there’s lots of term left on the deal but if he decides to hang it up prior to it ending then Nashville will want to make a move in order to avoid that penalty.

Marner is not what the Habs need, we like team players not little whiny selfish players, skilled or not.
