I feel this trade would be more beneficial if Fowler was included instead of Montour, gives Sabres a more ready NHL defenseman and allows ANA to better their cap situation even more

The cost for Fowler would be way too high. The point of moving Stoner is so Anaheim can keep Fowler and lindholm

I really know nothing about where Montour projects and this deal would swing on him since Stoner is only really a depth D who is over paid for just depth. Thus Montour would need to be someone thats ready to step in next year in at least on the 3rd pairing and project into top 4 for me to be taking on a CAP dump and giving up Baptiste and a second round pick. Also with your lines Fasching is a natural RW so would put him there on the 3rd line, if he stays up out camp, that would put Ennis on left side either on 1st or 2rd line.
