Description
Just trying to figure out new trades. Isles would take back most maybe 3M in cap so the red wings don't just swallow Boychuk. Any other players instead of Filp?

No you'll need to add your 2021 1st if you want Detroit taking on 9M in cap over next 2 years

isles would rather send prospects over picks. They don't have much of both though

Bellows kinda scares me , he can score atleast in the ahl but 22 g 9 a is a weird line. The next Michael Grabner I guess.

He plays on the ****tiest line for the isles and only when we have injuries so the NHL numbers are hard to look at but him playing he has a great shot. Has upside but it doesn't seem isles management is huge over him since they sent him home instead of bringing him to the bubble. I think he'll be an NHLer but how long and how good well see

Filppula has a NTC and is only one year. I get not wanting to send draft picks but that Boychuk contract with COVID and a flat cap would cost to move. Might make sense to ship Leddy and Bailey out for the RFA contracts. TSN OD mentioned that even the Athletic for Pittsburgh was saying ownership wanted their cap down to the mid 70s so I think we are going to see a bunch of shuffling.

If they cut the cap down to the mid 70's there would have to be some type of buyouts the teams could do im guessing. If Ladd or Boychuk go to the LTIR I'm not worried about moving the other enough to push 1sts away. Also I think Bailey may be taken by Seattle so keeping him on more season keeps some options open. A lot of options not a lot of answers right now.

You misunderstood, they reported Pittsburgh ownership wants to cut their payroll down to the mid 70s so they will have to move cap/cash if that’s true. That they said it was reported by the Athletic Pittsburgh writers. I’m sure it will affect the smaller market teams more and some already have internal budgets so it will be an interesting offseason. I’m curious to see how Chris Illitch operates compared to his father.
