I'd say Montreal accepts. It's a tough one though

Before the playoffs Flames say yes. Now I think they pass.

Crazy how some guys just elevate in crunch time.

If only he could carry this over to the regular season.

I honestly don’t think Ottawa wants to take on a contract with three more years... they could. but they could also be really good in 2-4 years

I figure they may be good by then, but they have to reach the cap floor so why not add a prospect with potential to do it.

Idk if Mittlestadt has that much value anymore though. I could be wrong but he hasn’t looked good at all. maybe a change of scenery could be what he needs but i’m still unsure if that’s enough for ottawa to take on Okposo’s contract. especially because they are playing bobby ryan $7-8M for two more years i think.

Don’t think Ottawa takes Okposo for just Mittelstadt. After we get Byfield you could argue he’s only our 4th best centre prospect, and that contract is very bad, we’d be looking more at taking 1-2 year cap dumps. Calgary can re-sign two defensemen that effectively play the right side better than Risto for cheaper, and will almost definitely re-sign at least one, so there’s no need to give up Bennett. Domi is not worth 8oa anymore, and especially not this year.
