Philly takes that. JVR produces, but right now hes a bit lost, and Philly is stocked at LW with Giroux, Lindblom, Farabee, and stocked at forward in general (without Patrick, Frost, Allison, Ratcliffe, Brink, etc)

The cap space, possibly reclaimable young winger and some middling picks is a solid return for a top 6 winger who gets 45-55pts, (albeit a tad overpaid, 1-2mil)

I like the moves from a Devils perspective, certainly makes NJ a better team. Don't know if Vancouver wants to move Boeser, but that seems to be a pretty good package for him.

Devils contend for a WC spot in 20-21, but Palmieri gets a big offer in UFA elsewhere and takes it.

Massive overpayment for JVR. The Devils shouldn't have to give up more than a 4th or 5th. He's a $7M bottom-six winger.

Overpayment for JVR. Wood OR a 4th should get this done without question.

He still produces, just needs a change of scenery. I think a bottom six forward, and two mid-round picks is adequate value.

He's got similar numbers to James Neal (20 goal scorer, less total points) and costs $1.25M more, who is considered a cap dump. I don't want to beat this to death, but the cap, term, and age (trends say his numbers decline at 31) are not worth the assets here, imho.

I am guessing NJD trades him or resigns him.

If he is available, he would likely still be better option at RW1 than Holtz for 2021-22.
