So happy to see Zach back in the fold. I really hope he can stick in the AHL/NHL.

Great contract. Two way deal and is essentially going to be paid the 75,000.00 salary as he will either play in the AHL/ECHL. I hope he gets his chance someday to play in the NHL and possibly be a reliable NHL back up at least.

My exact reaction:

"Oh yeah... How's he been doing?"

I don't know why Washington would waste a contract spot on him. Seems like he's a good ECHL goalie

Impressive U-20 career and has led Canada to 2 golds and a silver at the 3 spengler cups he’s played in since 2016 (the only time of year I hear his name any more lol). I like this guy, hopefully he sticks in the AHL and performs well enough to become an NHL backup one day. Worst case he’s a good ECHL starter. He’s somehow only 25, feels like he’s been around for well over a decade haha

Believe me, as a Habs fan, don’ sign this dude. He only has good stats in the QMJHL and the ECHL, struggled everywhere else. Good luck

Nope Vanecek would be the backup, if they don't sign another goalie. Vanecek likely gets the NHL backup role and Copley stays in the minors as the starter. Could be Copley going up, but right now with Samsonov injured the Caps have went with Vanecek as their backup instead of Copley.
