The oilers D needs to improve, not get worse. The sens might do that if you take out a 2nd

Very hard to see Barrie taking a cut in salary. Despite his fairly poor performance in Leafs, he performed he quite well in the Avs.

Would imagine his next contract between $6-7,5M bucks, unless he signs a one year bridge.

Flat cap a year after he was horrible, can’t see anyone giving him 6-7.5

Edmonton wants more for Pulju. Ottawa says no, we don’t need Neal and his overpriced contract. Take Neal out, upgrade CBJ’s 2nd to the NYI 1st and it’s a decent draft day deal

Like others have said, definitely zero interest from Ottawa in that deal as it is. Brown to Athanasiou is a noticeable downgrade, and it's just not worth taking Neal's deal back. If he was removed from it, it starts to come closer to a discussion Ottawa would have.

Why do we want Barrie? Not one of those trades makes sense

Which is why I think a one-year bridge is in order.

Can't see Barrie accepting that deal. Also Ottawa has it's own internal salary cap, there is absolutely no way they make that trade.

OTT declines very fast.

It costs the first just to dump Neal, youre not getting Brown + two 2nds for AA
