That is a step backwards. Fleury as the 7th D is a crime. He was our best player in the Boston series.

Not much better. Those two need to play or be traded. DW should be fired if Nino is on the team

Well, they fought a good fight.

Unlike most teams, Carolina has no significant expensive free agents to sign this off-season and with Ryan Suzuki, Dominik Bokk and Joey Keane already in the fold, that 13th overall pick could be another first-line player in a season or two. And as I recall, there are some interesting prospects on the Reserve List, too. This is what good management looks like.

Sure wish you'd elevated our second pick to 27th overall, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Askarov was gone by then at the hands of Minnesota

(Rees>Fensore>Honka>Drury>Suzuki/Bokk/Keane)

The Ducks pick (via BOS) can still be 27th, they order the losers of the first 2 rounds (of actual playoffs) by reverse points %, otherwise the BOS pick would have been 23rd had they lost this round (but it couldn't have been)

Are you sure about this? I thought the losers of this round AND the next all went together; only the 28th through 31st picks depend upon the Conference and Stanley Cup finals. So my understanding is that the Boston pick can only be 27, 29, 30 or 31.

Yes, the Boston pick can only be 27, 29, 30 or 31, but they can still be the 27th pick if they lose next round (and they had no chance to get any higher than that, even if they lost to CAR)

Yeah, that's what I thought. I was confused by your reference to 23.
