What would the return be from any team?
    ANA
    1. Johnson, Jack
    2. Murray, Matt [RFA Rights]
    3. 2020 1st round pick (PIT)
    Additional Details:
Murray - The pens need to trade a goalie, and I think that Jarry proved that he can play well in the playoffs during game 4.

15th pick - The Pens need someone that can help them now, and drafting won't give them that.

Ottawa could be interested. Not speaking as a Sens fan but Anderson is getting old and Johnsons contract is pretty reasonable at 3.25 million. I'm only saying Ottawa because as of the first day of free agency they'll be well below the salary cap floor and will have to take on 2 maybe 3 respectable contracts to make cap. But they also have a crap ton of RFAs to sign and who knows what could happen in that situation they may be perfectly fine. I still think Murray would be a good fit for them though and we all know they love there first round draft picks.

The whole premise of this is simply wrong.

    A. They don't "need" to trade a goalie. They can make it work, there are multiple ACGM on here where people have shown how.
    B. They can get someone at 15OA that can help now. Hell some of the best skaters in the draft this year are RW. Mercer, Jarvis. These are not players who need more time.
These horribly old ways of looking at things are simply archaic. The penguins lost to a team that played a guy in his draft year +1. TOR lost to a team who played a guy in his draft year +1.
It's becoming more and more common for teams to play their youth sooner. The thing that holds youth back are two things. Their skating, and their size.
It is an increasing trend in the NHL to play these guys younger.
The penguins realize this, which is why they are already saying they need to get younger. Developing guys for 3 years is an old way of doing things. That's what you do for lower draft picks. But 1 year and in is the new model. Some guys don't even need to wait that long, and teams are starting to be honest about it.
