I say he goes to the Island. Yea they have Varlamov, but Holtby was one of Eggman’s favorites and I could see Holtby rocking an Islanders sweater come December.

What do you think he gets for term and money? I think a lot of teams will back away over 6 million. Too many other options and needs. Lots of teams effectively running tandems.

Some team is going to offer him north of 7.5+ in my opinion.

If the Islanders want to sign Barzal, Pulock & Toews there will be zero cap room for Holtby.

Islanders got Sorokin booked next year and Lou paid him 2mill so the tandem will be Varlamov/Sorokin. Cause lets face it u dont pay a guy 2mill to go to the AHL

If Jason Botterill was still the GM than maybe. Carter Hutton was better with vision issues. And Ullmark was a lot better.

Yeah hate to break it to ya, but he’ll be 35 next year and has only started 40+ games once in the past 6 years.
He’s no #1G

Yeah Holtby had an off year, but 4-5 of his last 6 seasons has been good. If BUF wants to be taken seriously, they need a real 1G

Linus Ullmark had .915 save percentage. He got hurt in late January when they were 4 points out. He’s a good goalie just needs to stay healthy.

He's not really a legitimate option for the Oilers, of course that depends on his contract demands. If he wants Bobrovsky money, not a chance. Although I don't think he will get that from anyone, given as Bobrovksy hasn't turned out and is looking like a disaster from this point going forward.

Lots fo Free Agents are going to get lighter contracts than initially expected given the pandemic and cap staying flat. If he wants a short term deal to try and cash in one last time once the cap bumps up, and only than would the Oilers be interested.

In my opinion, I could see Canucks or Sabres interested. Canucks only if Markstrom walks (which I don't think he will). Sabres might want him to prove to Eichel that they care.

IF he gets a long term deal, I don;t think it'll be a good deal for the team. He was already losing his job to Samsanov and is on the wrong side of 30.

A 1 year deal also means he could potentially sign with the Kraken for their first year, and I could see him wanting to go there. It's a lot closer to where he grew up in western Canada, and I think he'd enjoy the city.

He's going to be taking a paycut. There are so many goalies available and he had a very poor season. I could see EDM signing him for 1yr if Holtby takes a little less

Isles just signed mega-prospect in Sorokin I doubt they'll pay for Holtby

Completely forgot about Sorokin lol, my mistake. Was kinda tired when I wrote that and didn’t think it through.
