You still have to give Ottawa something good to get rid of even half these contracts. They don't want them, gotta pay. Also Melnyk hates giving away money so Ottawa wont be the home for like 5 contracts. Maybe 2.

Okay, so dumping ~22M and you want to use AA + Ostap + Benning, and get two 2nds back?

Take out AA + Ostap + Benning

Include EDM 1st + Puljujarvi + Lavoie and youve got a deal

Basically, if you're trying to do a cap dump. Never try to do it all in one deal or it ends up looking lazy. And yeah it would cost you something like that.
