I believe Sabres would accept. I believe the Sabres also want Josh Anderson.

I think this would be a good outcome for Calgary. I like the Mangiapane bridge deal a lot since it keeps him as an RFA at the conclusion of the contract. The only issue is I don't see any chance Columbus moves Anderson for only a 2nd. He's a 25-30 goal scorer if he's back healthy and if Columbus would be willing to move him for just a 2nd, it would've already happened back at the deadline.

Pretty much this. You might be able to get him for that sort of return with an offer sheet, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

I would need a 1st at the minimum to move Anderson and I'd only be looking to move him if the cap forces us to and we aren't able to open space. Based of the money he's rumored to want, they'd be getting at least that through RFA compensation.

Here is the thing that I struggled with regardng Anderson. He has topped 25 goals once, and inhured all of last year. Other than that, he is a 40-50 point guy.

When we look at comparables, we really are talking Johnsson and Kapanen. Just about everyone sees Johnsson worth a 3rd (and he would have had back to back 40 point seasons if not for injury). Kapanen also was tracking for his 2nd 40 point season - and his value consistently falls around a 2nd to 3rd.

Tyler Tofolli, who has a much more extensive body of work, aguably slightly better output than Anderson, and 2 Cup Rings, went for a 2nd rounder a 4th.

It the Jackets ask a 1st, I simply gon elsewhere. Based on 3 comparables here, 1 in an actual deal and 2 others where too many ACGMs have placed a consistent value on the players..... a 2nd for Anderson seems 100% right.

I wouldnt put up a huge fight against that being his market value right now, especially with the injury. I'm more so talking about Columbus definitely not moving him for that considering they already had the chance and hard passes on it.

Then they pass. But I think I have demonstrated that it's market value.
