Highly, HIGHLY, doubt you can sign any of those 3 for the cap hits you’re posting.

I don't mind the deals, but I don't think you'll see any retention in the Gourde deal. He has 5 years left...that's the bolts paying 10 plus mill for him to play somewhere else. I think you can just an easily find a trade partner without retention

Rebuilding teams don’t trade seconds. If you have perlini on your third line you’re going to have a bad time. He may not even get a qualifying offer from Detroit. The other big thing is 883000 left in salary cap and no healthy scratches

not Highly...impossible.
Cirelli will be 5+
Cernak should get 3+
Sergachev might want big money over long term like 7-8 over 7-8.
Before anyone says it, I know about the tax break in FLA, but these guys are all realllyy good and should get their money and not take any discount

The problem is what you’d need to attach to him without any retention

For sure. Luckily the bolts are stacked with good players under contract and guys wanna sign there to win a cup. Im sure they can throw another pick or two to get out from underneath some of these contracts. THe real problem is all the NMC/NTC

Cirelli Cernak and Sergachev are all seriously underpaid.
Cirelli is easily 5M
Sergachev easily 5M can maybe get 6M
Cernak maybe you can convince him to take 2M but only at a deal of 2yrs or less.

Yeah, those NTC/NMC could be problematic. It’s always interesting seeing ACGMs were they think a player will just waive that willingly. Would you want to leave a winning culture on the cusp of a potential cup and in a no state income tax state? The player gets the best of both worlds and has nice weather on top.

A bit of an exaggeration when you have Hedman, Vasilevsky, Stamkos, Kucherov, Point and McDonagh. Realistically the bolts need to trade 3 of TJ, Killorn, Palat, Gourde and Coburn. They can find the room, its just gonna take some wheelin and dealin. Kinda fun to be honest

Why do the Wings pay a 2nd to have a 30yr old with $20M in cap dumped on them? Sorry Tyler Johnson doesn't help the wings get to the playoffs any faster! Wings Decline.
