I think Columbus would accept that. Decent value.

Take out Bratt and put in Michael McLeod or Nathan Bastian, then I would accept.

Just on general principles, any player designated "[to] any team that wants him" is unlikely to be worth more than a fifth.

I'm sure there is a team that would value and want him he did have a decent regular season I just didn't want to focus too much on where

How disappointing will the flames be when Merzlikins doesn't perform they he did in CBJ without the shutdown system CBJ plays?

Very true, would you bring back talbot instead or go for one of the big fish Lehner/Holtby?

Neither, I'd look at aquiring a goalie who has steadily been left out on his own and has a history of success in that scenario and re-sign Talbot as the back up - think Andersen out of TO with Kapenen for Rittich, Bennet and a 2nd or 3rd

Bennett will help build the culture I think they will need going forward so I don't see them trading him

Meh, he's been a whipping boy for years now in Calgary, he performs well in the 4-9 playoff games they play when they make the playoffs

My hope is that if he is given top 6 minutes consistently ( and as a center) he will bring that playoff intensity during the regular season

That's exactly why I'd like to aquire him, he has been given those opportunities in Calgary and it has not worked out to date
