Leafs decline, Adam Larsson is not going to solve the leafs problem and I wouldn't give a 20-goal scorer and a 4th for him

Habs pass, overpayment for a 4th liner.
Maybe for Weal and it's a deal.

TOR trade is bad for EDM imo.

WPG can't afford / don't need Russell.

Chiasson ain't worth that much. He's a cap dump. Try a 5th rounder.

It's currently rumored that EDM isn't giving AA a QO, therefore he's UFA and will not garner anything via trade. Maybe a 5th or 6th rounder from a team that wants to take a punt with the guy.

I don't mind Russell, think he gets a bad rap cause he's not a modern era type dman but he's still pretty reliable defensively and you can't have a D core of just puck moving dmen, it just wouldn't work, that being said I think the Jets can find better ways to spend $3M of cap space.

I don't think the Jets would want to waste the cap space on Russell.

Really not a fan of Larsson. Don't hate the deal, but I'd have to exhaust a good number of other options before coming around to this.

Leafs should accept. Larson would be cheap and would benefit our blue line quite nicely.

Larsson sucks

So does 95% of other proposed affordable options. I think he'd be fine with Rielly.

It's not a large price to pay.

AA's play has fallen off a cliff. The Kings might take a flyer on him in free agency on a two-way deal, but they won't give up anything of value for him.

He's Zaitsev all over again but less capable of moving the puck.

I don't see what Andreas Athanasiou can provide that Alex Iafallo and Adrian Kempe can't, with Rasmus Kupari and Arthur Kaliyev in the wings, so I think Los Angeles declines.

Serious question, and not trying to he an a__hole is that from eye test, or is there a reliable site to show zone exit stats, or stats like those?

Seems any Dmen in the league that throws more than a hit a game is worshipped by half of fans or described as another Polak by the other half.

I have heard that about Larsson before, but haven't been able to see as many West games these days.

Check out his stat line on natural statrick. He's so much like Zaitsev

I'm still an amateur when it comes to the more detailed analytics.

GF% 18/19 36.89% 19/20 43.94% is absolutely horrendous.
HDCF% 18/19 48.25% 19/20 50% is not too bad
PDO 18/19 .963 19/20 .987

So would some of the poor GF% not be explained by low PDO, playing tough comp, and high amount of DZ starts?

The thing I wonder (and I'm sure this has been answered 1000s of times).

If T.Barrie played sheltered 3rd pair minutes he would put up a phenomenal stat line, and likely have V. Hedman beat in every category across the board. Obviously he's no Hedman.

I know that's accounted for on certain sites, but I have no idea how to get to that information.

Larsson is an old school guy some old school guys still value. He just blocks shots and gets in the way and hit but offers very little else. He's slow and his zone exits are terrible.
