cant see it happening. Hanafin is a handful on that blue line as it is. Put deangelo there and its borderline disasterous. Both are not good defensively and i cant see it working out.

It's a tough one for me.

I like Georgiev, but the Flames have spent 7 years taking flyers on goalies, that they think can be a #1 or are aging. I think they need to suck it up and pay Lehner or Markstrom if they hit UFA

I honestly see another blockbuster between the leafs and flames happening. Both teams have something the other needs so it could work

We don't want Andersen or Nylander enough to give up Andersson nor any of our top 6 except maybe Mangiapane

deangelo is not good defensively. He is mainly for offense but Calgary has no need of an offensive dman as they got Hanafin and probs Gustafsson is coming back. Now yes Hanafin is listed as a 2 way but his defensive game isnt that great. So u put 3 offensive dman on that blue line yes its gonna be disastrous.

Tony D was quite good defensively and got a lot better. He's a solid 2-way d-man. I don't think the Rangers should trade him either. He was too good.

While he has improved somewhat people can all agree he is not good defensively. And no he is not a 2-way player. He is an offensive defenseman who is mainly on the ice to rack up points.

Dobber: "Anthony is a skilled offensive defenseman. His puck skills and playmaking ability are excellent. He sees the ice very well and creates offensive scoring chances with great passes. He has a very good shot and gets it on net. DeAngelo likes to jump up into the rush and makes good decisions with the puck. His defensive work though is something to be desired." <--- Those are the signs of an offensive defense man not a 2-way defenseman.

In general his stats look good cause he was mainly rotating between the 2nd and third pairing with Trouba and since he didnt PK his stats werent affected by that either.

we wouldnt mind taking Mangiapane I like his game and hes from Toronto, Hanafin is my only concern as do you think he can play RD and if so do you think he would be defensively well enough to play with rielly.

Yes, but this past season he was actually good defensively. But, I don't see Calgary needing him anyway either.
